Dr Stiles sent me this article. It is about the hypothesis that autistic traits might have had an evolutionary advantage during stone age.
The autism advantage - the solitary forager hypothesis This is of course only a hypothesis, which is very difficult to ever prove scientifically.

I totally agree with the change of perspective about Autism. The change from a "disorder" to "neuro-diversity" may convince autistic individuals to become more capable of living life. Atleast they know that there's a group people who perceives them as normal people rather than some anomaly in society.

Thanks for the link, New, I will put in my diigo bookmarks. I agree that it would be beneficial to find the positive aspects of a diagnosis. Autistics often have a talent for mathematics and science.
